Because many signs and symptoms of
larger health problems appear first in the mouth, Dr. Max and Dr. Ariana’s
concern is not for just your oral health, but your entire well-being. Some
people are surprised to find out that their first visit at Ebrahimian Aesthetic
Dentistry takes well over an hour, but it's not just about the teeth and gums
here. Your initial exam always begins with high-resolution digital
photographs of your mouth that you and the doctor review together. This
helps pinpoint small problems before they become big problems. A careful
assessment of your medical history, along with an oral cancer screening, a gum
screening for signs of gingivitis or periodontal disease, a
neuromuscular
evaluation for signs of an unstable bite, fatigued muscles, or TMD, and an
airway evaluation for signs of
obstructive sleep apnea all give the doctor a
better understanding of how best to serve you. Children are assessed for proper facial growth
and correct oral posture so that problems we see in adulthood can be avoided
with early intervention in childhood. And of course, all
patients’ teeth are checked for decay, fractures, and deteriorated dental
work with the help of digital x-rays, which use up to 80% less radiation than
traditional x-rays. Good oral health, complete with healthy jaw joints and
open airway, allow your mouth and ultimately your entire body to be in a
healthy state of balance, providing long-term dental stability that can last a
lifetime.
Dr. Max and Dr. Ariana both firmly
believe that you have to be well-educated about your own oral health so that you
can make the most informed decision possible. They take a lot of time to explain the results of your exam and discuss treatment
options based on your individual smile goals and dental needs. They
answer your questions and explain everything in simple,
easy-to-understand language. At your periodic recare exams, the
conversation continues so that you are always well-apprised of your oral health.
